Without family or friends in the space, somehow Curtis has spent most of his life around funerals. It started in 1999 when he was just 15. He and his brother started recording funeral services. After a few years as a side-hustle, technology allowed the business to go online, nationwide, and then live-streamed. 

Those products didn’t reach a large enough audience, so in 2010 he made the decision to build better tribute video software and give it a weird name. Tukios means “events” in Swahili. Since then, Tukios has become one of the most respected companies in funeral service. They work with thousands of funeral homes around the globe. Last year, they introduced what is now the fastest-growing funeral home website platform in the industry.



Curtis lives in Ogden, Utah, with his wife Megan, two kids, and has a third on the way. He loves to bike, boat, and golf.
